Early Vote Starts Tomorrow!

Early Vote Starts Tomorrow!

Election season is speeding along! Today is the last day to register to vote in Indiana for the November 2023 election, requested absentee ballots have been mailed (and some have already been returned!), early voting starts tomorrow, October 11, and Election Day itself is exactly 4 weeks away! Make your voting plan today!

There is only one Bloomington contested election (here in District 3!), but Monroe County Community Schools has a public referendum question, so anyone in the MCCSC district has an area of active engagement on their ballot. Vote to make your voice heard! If you are interested in seeing exactly what's on your ballot, the League of Women Voters Vote 411 page does a great job giving a ballot overview, including the referendum language.

Voter Registration

If you need to change your voter registration you can still do so TODAY! With an Indiana driver's license it only takes a few minutes to update your registration information. Have new neighbors? Let them know to update their registration today!

Absentee Ballots

Need to vote by mail due to travel, health, or other circumstances? This year you can request your absentee ballot online! Go to indianavoters.in.gov, enter your voter portal, and select "Vote by Mail". If you would prefer to fill out a paper request form, you can do so and return it to the County Clerk's office (401 W 7th St.). Absentee ballot requests must be received by October 26.

Early Voting

As in past years, anyone can early vote at Election Operations, 302 S. Walnut St. Early voting is available starting tomorrow, October 11.

Election Day-Tuesday, November 7

If you prefer to vote on Election Day itself, you can find you polling place at indianavoters.in.gov. District 3 voters can also use the map on my website.

In Stosberg Campaign News . . .

I'm continuing to knock doors around District 3 to make sure people are informed about the upcoming election. Data collection tells me that over half of people canvassed by Team Stosberg are not aware that there is a contested municipal race in their district and many don't even realize there is an upcoming election. The work being done to knock doors and get out the vote is vital! If you would like to join me, even for an hour or two, please let me know. I'm doing organized knocking on the following days/times. If you are not available during those days, but still want to help, please reach out.

Sunday, October 15 from 1-5 pm

Saturday, October 21 from 10 am-5 pm

Saturday, October 28 from 10 am-5 pm

Leaf Collection

I know many people are concerned about the new leaf collection procedures in Bloomington. Change is always a challenge. This information from the Public Works Department gives great tips and ideas on new leaf management and if you need help with your leaves (or want to assist others), please sign up with the Helping Hands network. As I said, change is often a challenge and a key way to make change successful is to get more information about alternatives and get/give help as needed in hopes that this new operation is as smooth as possible for our community.

As Always . . .

Please reach out to questions@stosberg.com if you have any questions. Thank you for your continued interest and support of my campaign to represent District 3 on the Bloomington Common Council.
